Two Dead after Big-Rig Collision on West Kamm Avenue near Jameson Avenue
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (November 16, 2022) – Monday morning, two people were killed in a big-rig collision on West Kamm Avenue.
The incident happened just after 7:00 a.m., near Jameson Avenue just west of Caruthers.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver of a northbound big-rig failed to a stop at a posted stop sign on Jameson Avenue. As a result, the big-rig collided with a Toyota Camry that traveled into the intersection from West Kamm Avenue.
Medical personnel arrived and pronounced the driver of the Camry and dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the collision ejected both of the occupants of the big rig from the truck. One of the men died at the scene and medics airlifted the other to a local hospital for treatment of major injuries.
At this time, none of the victims’ identities have been released pending notification of their next of kin.
