2 Dead and 3 Hurt in Fatal Traffic Crash on 210 Freeway

RIALTO, CA (September 27, 2021)  A traffic crash on 210 Freeway killed two individuals and injured three more early Sunday morning.

The accident happened on the 210 Freeway near east Locust Avenue on September 19, around 3:40 a.m.

According to the CHP, a silver Toyota Prius going east on the interstate came to a stop on the right shoulder for unknown reasons.

Following that, a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling in the same direction turned to the right shoulder and collided with the Toyota’s back end.

Officers pronounced the Toyota driver and his passenger dead on the spot. Police kept their identities hidden until their relatives were informed.

Meanwhile, medics rushed the Jeep driver and his two passengers with minor injuries to hospital for treatment.

At this time, investigators are unsure as to what caused the driver to veer off the road. However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
