Two Hospitalized after Pursuit Collision near Ocean Drive
LA MESA, CA (November 7, 2022) – A pursuit crash on Alvarado Road on Monday night injured two people, police said.
The incident began around 11:26 p.m. when officers attempted to pull over a car in the 7700 block of Alvarado Road since its tail light was out.
Furthermore, according to reports, the driver sped down Alvarado Road before losing control, colliding with a wall, flipping over, and ejecting two occupants.
As per police, a man was thrown out of the car and into the middle of the road, and a woman was trapped under the car when it turned over. Rescuers eventually extricated the woman from the vehicle.
Paramedics then took the two injured to a local hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
Meanwhile, at this time, authorities have not released their identities and have no information as to why they fled and what charges they may face.
La Mesa police continue to investigate the crash and will post updates once available.
