Rider and Pedestrian Both Injured in Traffic Accident near Palm Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 25, 2022) – Wednesday night, two people sustained injuries in a pedestrian crash near Palm Avenue.
The incident happened on October 19th at around 10:30 p.m. near the 1500 block of Palm Avenue, involving a pedestrian and a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle.
The initial report stated that the motorcyclist was on a green light when the man crossed the street outside of a crosswalk.
Consequently, the motorcyclist then continued to drive until he struck a curb on a concrete divider.
According to authorities, the motorcyclist suffered multiple serious injuries and was quickly hospitalized.
Meanwhile, the involved pedestrian also hospitalized for further treatment.
A large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
Furthermore, alcohol or drugs were not the factors in the crash, police said.
