Pedestrian Accident on West Orangeburg Hospitalizes Grandmother and her Granddaughter

MODESTO, CA (September 15, 2021) On Monday, a grandmother with her granddaughter suffered injuries after a pedestrian accident on West Orangeburg.

The incident took place around 8:00 a.m. September 13, on West Orangeburg Avenue and Martin Avenue.

According to reports, the two were crossing the street at the intersection when they were hit by a sedan for reasons unknown. Her grandson was also present, but fortunately he was not hit.

Paramedics then rushed the grandmother to the hospital with leg injuries, while the girl was airlifted to another hospital in critical condition.

Meanwhile, the 21-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Following the investigation, police did not consider drugs and alcohol to be factors in the pedestrian accident on West Orangeburg Avenue.

However, an active investigation remains ongoing.
