22-Year-Old Man Arrested after DUI Collision on Highway 3

BELFAIR, WA (November 1, 2021)  At least two people were injured Monday morning following a DUI collision on Highway 3.

The accident happened around 7:14 a.m., at the 22500 block of Highway 3. Officers arrived to the scene just south of Belfair Elementary shortly after.

According to reports, a 22-year-old Port Orchard man driving a 2014 Lexus ES 300h collided with a 50-year-old Seabeck man driving a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado.

Eventually, the Port Orchard man admitted to drinking alcohol and using marijuana prior the crash.

Officials examined the suspect for vehicular assault. They were taken to St. Anthony Medical Center for treatment of a broken right arm and mild whiplash sustained in the incident.

Meanwhile, medics took the Seabeck man to St. Michael Medical Center in Silverdale for treatment.

At this time, authorities are conducting active investigation of the crash. Once available, more information will be released.
