Two Hospitalized after Semi-Truck Accident near Retech Business Complex

UKIAH, CA (August 22, 2022) – Early Monday morning, two victims were hospitalized after a big-rig collision on Highway 101.

The incident happened around 6:20 a.m., south of the Retech Business complex on August 15th, according to initial reports.

Furthermore, police said that the big rig was loaded with about 50,000 pounds of cement and caused heavy wreckage and debris on the highway after a service truck collided into them.

Additionally, gasoline spilled in the area causing a temporary closure of the roadways.

Meanwhile, two people were injured as a result of the crash and were transported to Ukiah Valley Adventist Health Hospital.

Following the crash, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available to the public.
