Two Hurt in Pedestrian Collision near Camino Real Elementary

JURUPA VALLEY, CA (February 24, 2022) – Thursday afternoon, an auto-pedestrian accident on Camino Real left a man and a child injured.

The incident happened around 3:00 p.m. in the 4600 block of Camino Real, near Camino Real Elementary.

According to California Highway Patrol officers, an unidentified sedan driver veered off into a grassy area for reasons unknown. There, the driver struck the man and the child.

Responding medics arrived and took the man to a nearby hospital with moderate injuries. Meanwhile, the child only suffered minor pain and declined any treatment.

Meanwhile, the driver stayed and cooperated with investigators, who do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role. At this time, investigators are unsure as to what caused the driver to veer off the road.
