Vehicle Strikes Pole near Harris Street in Humboldt Leaving 2 Injured

HUMBOLDT, CA (January 7, 2022) – Monday evening, two people were injured in an auto accident on Glen Street.

The incident happened around 10:05 p.m., near the intersection Glen and Harris Street. Crews responded to the scene shortly after.

According to the first responders, crews found the pole sheared off and high voltage lines severed at the scene. In addition, around 130 PG&E customers lost power in the Fort Humboldt and West Harris Area.

Eventually, medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported two patients to a local hospital for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

At this time, Humboldt officials are still currently investigating the incident.
