Lanes Blocked, Two Injured after Head-On Accident near Cheyenne Drive
REDDING, CA (April 29, 2022) – Early Monday night, two victims were hospitalized after a wrong-way collision on Highway 299.
Officers responded around 6:30 p.m., near Cheyenne Drive. Per reports, the driver of a white Toyota Tacoma crossed into oncoming traffic for reasons unknown.
As a result, the Toyota collided head-on with a newer model black Chevrolet Camaro.
Medical personnel transported both occupants from the Toyota to a local hospital for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their names or place of residency.
In addition, the female driver of the Camaro suffered minor injuries.
Both lanes were blocked before they were later reopened after the road was cleared.
