Wrong-Way Collision on Highway 101 Injured 2 People

SAN JOSE, CA (October 20, 2021)  At least two people were hospitalized last Saturday after a wrong-way collision on Highway 101.

Just after midnight, the California Highway Patrol received reports of a white pickup truck driving the wrong way northbound on Highway 101 near Tully Road.

As a result, the pickup truck crashed into the right shoulder. Fortunately, the driver jumped out of the pickup before it erupted into flames.

Another car collided near the center division, probably in an attempt to avoid the initial accident according to the CHP.

Responding personnel transported two people to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

Authorities did not release any additional information at this time. However, an active investigation is underway.
