Solo-Car Collision on Anza Road Left Several Hurt

TEMECULA, CA (June 27, 2022) – Two people sustained injuries on Monday after a single-car crash on Highway 79, police said.

The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. on the eastbound side of the highway at Anza Road.

Per initial reports, for reasons still unknown, an RV veered off of the two-lane highway and crashed into a tree at an unknown speed.

Furthermore, the Cal Fire Department responded and rescued two occupants from the wreck.

Medics then transported the two, one with serious injuries and the other with moderate injuries, to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

At this moment, police have not confirmed their identities or their conditions.

Furthermore, the crash temporarily closed both sides of the 79 as crews cleared the area, and has since reopened by 7:00 p.m.

Temecula authorities continue to investigate the single-car crash and will release updates once available.
