51-Year-Old Man, 23-Year-Old Woman Hurt in Traffic Crash on Balboa Avenue near Kearny Villa Road

KEARNY MESA, CA (October 14, 2022) – Early Friday morning, a crash on Balboa Avenue left a man and a woman injured.

The incident happened on October 7th just before 1:00 a.m. involving a white Toyota Rav4 and a Hyundai Elantra.

According to reports, the Rav4, driven by a 23-year-old woman, and headed south on Kearny Villa Road. She entered the intersection and there collided with the Elantra, driven by a 51-year-old man, traveling east.

Responding officers arrived at the scene and stated that the man suffered major injuries that were not life-threatening. Meanwhile, the woman sustained wrist injuries. Medics transported both drivers to the hospital for treatment. Police have identified alcohol as a factor in the crash.

After being treated for her injuries, the woman was arrested and booked to Las Colinas with DUI charges.
