Traffic Collision near Highway 101 Resulted in Multiple Injuries

SANTA BARBARA, CA (August 9, 2022) – On Sunday, a car accident on El Sueno Road left at least two people injured, police said.

According to initial reports, emergency crews responded to the incident around 3:00 a.m. at the northbound freeway off-ramp at El Sueno Road.

Furthermore, authorities claimed that a white sedan collided with a tree and blocked the right-hand lane of Highway 101.

Authorities said the driver sustained severe injuries while their passenger received moderate injuries.

At this time, the identities of both patients and the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unknown. Additionally, a large portion of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Santa Barbara Police and California Highway Patrol continue to investigate the car accident on El Sueno Road, updates will be posted as they become available.
