Man and Woman Killed after a Fiery Car Crash on Highway 99 near Avenue 12
MADERA, CA (August 11, 2021) – A man and a woman lost their life Saturday morning after a tragic fiery car accident on Highway 99 in Madera.
The fatal crash happened around 12:40 in the morning of August 7, in the area of Highway 99 near Avenue 12.
According to reports, a car drove off of northbound lanes of Highway 99, due to still unknown reasons. As a result, the car rolled over several times onto a nearby field then burst into flames.
Unfortunately, both the passengers did not make it out of the vehicle, and responding officers declared them dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released the identity of both victims at the moment.
It is unknown whether speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the crash. However, an active investigation is underway.
