Two Teen Boys Hurt in Bicycle Accident near Elm Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 9, 2022) – Early Sunday night, two boys sustained injuries in a bicycle crash on Saturn Boulevard.
Police responded to the scene shortly after 6:15 p.m., in the 900 block of Saturn Boulevard on December 4th.
According to reports, the boys were crossing the street on their bicycles from east to west. There, the driver of a southbound Volkswagen Jetta struck them.
The impact caused both boys, who were 12 and 13 years old, to lose consciousness. A witness from the scene performed life-saving measures on the 12-year-old boy.
Meanwhile, the 37-year-old driver of the Jetta stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. He was assessed and was determined to not be driving under the influence.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the bicycle crash on Saturn Boulevard.
