Sheriff's deputies rescued a 19-year-old woman who was kidnapped on Christmas Day, kept captive for more than a week, and sexually assaulted, authorities said.

The rescue happened Saturday after the cops tracked down the suspect, 19-year-old Giovanni McKinnis, and found the victim at the same apartment in Palmdale, deputies said.

The man …

… is the teen's boyfriend as well as the father of their child, sheriff's officials said.

McKinnis was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, kidnapping, domestic violence, violating a restraining order, false imprisonment and more, deputies said.

Cops say the unidentified victim was assaulted and kidnapped from her mom's home Dec. 25. But the mother didn't call authorities because she was afraid of what the suspect might do to her daughter and the couple's child, according to deputies.

The man allegedly told the mom he'd harm them, cops said.

But on Saturday the victim's father reported the woman missing. That's when deputies sprung into action and headed to that apartment, in the 1100 block of East Avenue Q-4, where they found the McKinnis and the victim, they said.

The Sheriff's Department states:

When the deputies found the victim, she was hidden inside the apartment and appeared extremely fearful.

McKinnis was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail.
