180 South Group Founder Kyle Kane Shares His Expert Wisdom on Running a Top-Performing Company

Kyle Kane is an accomplished creator and producer, TEDx speaker, and award-winning entrepreneur. His latest venture, 180 South Group, ranked on the Inc. 500 list as the #13 Fastest Growing Company in America and #24 in Global Marketing and Advertising. Kyle has crafted creative campaigns for some of the worldʼs premier artists and brands (Katy Perry, Kylie Jenner, Samsung, Montblanc, etc.), resulting in a global market value of over $1B in sales.

Kane’s biggest secret to winning is only to do work that you actually care about. Besides being well-paying, you need to enjoy the work you dedicate yourself to. When your work is aligned with your passion, regardless of your “target market,” you can be content with the time you’ve chosen to allocate to work during your life.

While he has experienced touring the world as a professional recording artist and commanding board rooms on four different continents, Kyle says he feels most fulfilled in entrepreneurship when combining his network and skillsets to make a difference and amplify his purpose. As a brand, 180 South Group carefully curates each client’s project to ensure it aligns with the legacy the company wants to leave behind.

Unlike other brands in the market, 180 South Group does not have a general “target audience.” Each one of their ventures is geared towards providing a particular set of solutions. They achieve this by identifying a challenge and empathizing with their clients. Their mission is to bring back the personal approach to the cold, digital world most clients live in.

To them, people always come first. This approach has been very successful and has ensured they carry a 100% retention rate. They have also developed a proprietary method that turns passion into profit for any brand. Be it an artist releasing a new album, a company releasing a product, or a non-profit driving awareness around a service, the workflow and logistics do not change.

The brand also seeks to cultivate an “Aha” moment every single day to fuel its growth. Kyle relies on these moments because they remind him that he is on the right track. The day he intentionally decided to read the fine print in the Terms and Conditions section people often overlook when downloading apps gave him an idea he is now monetizing.

On new ventures, Kyle’s advice is not to overthink it. Rely on your gut because it’s truly your intelligence. As an entrepreneur, the cycle of incredibly steep highs and devastating lows will always be there. But you can’t allow that to stop you. Speaking for himself, he says, “There is an army of people to whom the entirety of my success and peace-of-mind is owed. Everyone needs someone like that next to them to truly feel the joys that make life worth living.”

Kyle also points out that prioritizing personal wellness improves business performance. He urges people to listen to their bodies because they know what’s good and what’s not good for them. When problems arise, getting REAL rest is essential because important problems are solved while you sleep.
