Solo-Car Accident on 101 Highway Kills One Teenager

KING CITY, CA (September 28, 2021)  A 18-year-old teen died tragically Wednesday after a single-car accident on 101 Highway in King City.

The California Highway Patrol responded on northbound 101 Highway near Arroyo Seco Road after receiving reports of a crash.

As per reports, a 29-year-old Toyota Tundra driver made an unsafe turn that made the car spin clockwise sending them off the road.

As a result, the car crashed into a wired fence in an an agricultural field. Responding officers declared the 18-year-old passenger dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, officers said the driver sustained injuries to her arm and neck.

At this time, authorities have not released their identities.

While it is early in the investigation, CHP said it does not look like intoxication contributed to the crash.

Moreover, investigators ask anyone with information about the crash to reach King City Police as soon as possible.
