Riverside Boy Injured After Motorcycle Crash on Iowa Avenue

RIVERSIDE, CA (June 1, 2021) – A 16-year-old boy sustained injuries Tuesday evening after a motorcycle crash on Iowa Avenue in Riverside.

The crash happened at about 9:20 p.m., on May 25. Officers arrived near the intersection of Iowa Avenue and Spruce Street.

Per reports, the boy was riding a 2004 Kawasaki north when he struck the side of a 2019 Toyota Highlander. The Toyota was pulling out of a business parking lot onto the four-lane road.

Responders located the teen with severe injuries from the accident and took to a hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old female Toyota driver was questioned by officers at the scene but was not arrested.

Traffic was stopped for an unknown period due to the collision, CHP said.

Police have not given any further details at this time. Once available, more information will be released to the public.
