Off-Road Crash on Winona Street Left One Fatality

VICTORVILLE, CA (December 30, 2021) – An off-road crash on Winona Street claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy Sunday evening.

The incident happened around 5:45 p.m., at the 16200 block of Winona Street between Sunset Canyon Way and Sixth Avenue.

Officials at the San Bernardino County along with deputies at Victorville responded to the crash. Upon arrival, crews discovered a single-vehicle roll-over traffic crash that occurred in the open desert.

Furthermore, the Sheriff’s Officials claimed that three male passengers lost control of the vehicle causing it to roll onto its roof. The rear seat passenger suffered from minor injuries while the driver remained uninjured.

However, the front seat passenger suffered major injuries after being partially ejected from the vehicle.

Later on, the 15-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries at the Desert Valley Hospital.
