Major DUI Crash on North Walnut Road Kills 15-Year-Old Boy

LAS VEGAS, NV (September 17, 2021) – One arrested after a DUI crash on North Walnut Road claimed the life of a 15-year-old boy.

The accident happened around 7:06 a.m., near North Walnut Road and Lake Mead Boulevard in the northeast valley.

According to Las Vegas police, both a Toyota and a Ford ran a red light and proceeded to collide in the intersection.

Furthermore the driver of the Ford, a 57-year-old man, showed signs of impairment. However he did remain on the scene to wait for emergency crews.

Responding medics declared the 15-year-old passenger of the Toyota dead at the scene, while the 19-year-old driver of the vehicle sustained moderate injuries.

Ultimately, officials are withholding the victims’ names at this time.
