Young Boy Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on Topaz Road

VICTORVILLE, CA (May 5, 2022) – A 14-year-old boy sustained injuries after a pedestrian crash on La Mesa Road, Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 7:46 a.m., at the intersection of La Mesa Road and Topaz Road near Mesa Linda Middle School.

As per reports, the boy tried to cross the street near Mesa Linda Middle School when he was hit by a passing vehicle. According to eyewitnesses, the boy attempted to sit up after the crash, clearly in pain.

Responding officers arrived and took the boy to a nearby hospital with minor injuries. At this time, officials have not released the victim’s name.

Meanwhile, the driver remained and cooperated with the authorities.

Investigators currently ruled out speed, alcohol, and drugs as factors in the collision. However, an active investigation is still underway.
