Teenage Girl Arrested after Pursuit Collision near Mission Road

STOCKTON, CA (August 9, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, a 13-year-old girl was arrested after a pursuit crash on Alpine Avenue.

The incident occurred around 1:15 a.m., near Mission Road.

Investigators say they spotted a vehicle driving without its headlights on. The driver then failed to pull over and the pursuit ensued.

The suspect vehicle drove through multiple stop signs before eventually slamming into a wall and breaking a fire hydrant.

Following preliminary duties, police arrested the 13-year-old driver for felony evading. Meanwhile, the 12-year-old passenger was returned to their parents.

Medics say both young occupants escaped serious injury. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more information will be released.
