Young Passenger Ejected and Killed in Wrong-Way Collision on Olive Avenue

EL MIRAGE, AZ (July 22, 2022) – Wednesday, Adrian Ballesteros was arrested, and a young girl was killed in a head-on crash on El Mirage Road.

Arizona Police responded to the scene near Olive Avenue around 6:30 p.m., on July 6th.

According to reports, Ballesteros was a passenger inside the pickup-truck being driven by his girlfriend when the couple got into an argument. Ballesteros then pulled the steering wheel and caused her to lose control.

The southbound pickup-truck then veered into oncoming lanes where it struck a northbound vehicle head-on. The impact of the crash ejected an 11-year-old girl from inside the pickup-truck onto the road.

In addition, three other victims suffered critical injuries. Medics transported all victims to a nearby hospital where crews later pronounced the young girl dead.

Meanwhile, Adrian Ballesteros and his girlfriend suffered minor injuries.

According to police, Ballesteros was booked into jail and charged with one count of manslaughter and five counts of endangerment.
