One Hospitalized after Two-Vehicle Accident near Templin Highway

CASTAIC, CA (September 12, 2022) – Late Saturday night, one victim was seriously injured in a big-rig collision on 5 Freeway.

The accident happened around 11:40 p.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Templin Highway.

According to reports, a big-rig collided with a parked Jeep on the right shoulder of the highway under unknown circumstances. Eventually, paramedics discovered one person who sustained major injuries.

Shortly after, medics transported the severely injured victim to Henry Mayo Newhall for further treatment. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

Meanwhile, officials issued a SigAlert on the No. 4 lane of the southbound side of the freeway for several hours. At this time, an active investigation to determine further details is still underway.
