One Killed in Single-Vehicle Rollover Collision near Orange Avenue

SIGNAL HILL, CA (December 15, 2022) – Early Sunday morning, one victim was killed in a rollover SUV accident on 405 Freeway. 

The deadly accident happened around 1:50 a.m., on the southbound San Diego Freeway near the Orange Avenue off-ramp.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the SUV flipped over and landed in the center divider for reasons currently unknown. 

Responding authorities declared one person dead at the scene. However, their identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.

At this time, further circumstances that led up to the incident and the total number of vehicles involved remain unclear. 

Furthermore, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. Those with more information regarding the 405 Freeway rollover crash are encouraged to contact Los Angeles County Officials immediately.
