Man Pronounced Dead after Vehicle vs Pedestrian Crash on Wible Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (March 27, 2023) – On Thursday, March 16th, a pedestrian died following a vehicle crash on Wible Road.

According to the CHP, a 57-year-old driver traveling at 40 to 45 mph struck a pedestrian walking in a lane on the road. 

Upon investigation, officers learned that the driver was not able to avoid the pedestrian and caused the collision.

Unfortunately, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene and his identity was withheld.

Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.

Furthermore, alcohol or drugs was not listed as the factors of the incident.
