One Killed in Bicycle Accident near Indian School Road

PHOENIX, AZ (April 28, 2023) – Late Sunday night, one victim was pronounced dead after a bicycle collision on 3rd Avenue. Authorities responded to the scene just before 11:00 p.m., near Indian School Road on April 9th. Per reports, the driver of a vehicle attempted to make a right turn onto Indian School Road and struck a cyclist that was riding through the intersection. Upon impact, the cyclist fell onto the roadway where they were hit by another eastbound vehicle. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. Officers have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim. Following preliminary duties, police do not believe that impairment was a factor. Once available, further details will be provided about the fatal bicycle collision on 3rd Avenue.
