2 Hurt in 2-Vehicle Collision near Jones Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (May 29, 2024) – One woman died Sunday morning, and two were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Interstate 215.

Dispatchers received calls at approximately 4:01 a.m., just west of the Jones Boulevard off-ramp.

According to reports, the driver of a 2013 Kia Optima was heading eastbound on the freeway at a high speed. The Kia then collided with the rear of a 2022 Toyota Corolla, causing the Kia to spin clockwise and cross all lanes. It subsequently hit a concrete barrier.

Meanwhile, the Toyota spun counterclockwise across the lanes and also collided with a concrete barrier. Paramedics arrived and transported three occupants to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

Despite their efforts, one woman was pronounced dead by medics. Her identity has not yet been released by the police. The total number of injuries from the crash is currently unknown.
