Traffic Accident on Bay Bridge Left One Fatality

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 29, 2022) – A two-vehicle crash on Bay Bridge claimed the life of one person, Sunday evening.

On June 26th just before 9:00 p.m., the California Highway Patrol received reports of a crash involving a sedan and another vehicle.

Furthermore, initial investigations said that the sedan veered off the right-hand side of the road before overturning, causing a collision.

According to authorities, one person sustained critical injuries from the crash and was pronounced dead by paramedics upon their arrival.

Moreover, police have not released the identity of any of the involved parties at this time. Both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

An active investigation is currently ongoing. Additional information will be updated as it becomes available to the public.
