One Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Accident on Cooper Street

ARLINGTON, TX (September 7, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, one victim was killed in a two-car collision on Interstate 20.

Police responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m., on the eastbound lanes of the freeway near Cooper Street on August 22nd.

According to reports, the driver of an eastbound SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck another car. Upon impact, the SUV overturned and struck a railing before coming to a rest wrapped around a light post.

First responders arrived and pronounced the driver dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
