Passenger Dead after Single-Vehicle Collision near Harbor Drive

OCEANSIDE, CA (April 29, 2022) – Monday morning, one passenger was pronounced dead after a solo-car accident on Wire Mountain Road.

According to California Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:15 p.m.

For unknown reasons, the driver of a gray Jeep Cherokee SUV veered off the southbound freeway. The Jeep then left the southbound lane as it struck the center divider, and crossed into the northbound lanes.

There, the Jeep struck a tree near Harbor Drive and came to rest. Due to the significant impact, one passenger suffered fatal injuries.

Furthermore, paramedics also brought the driver and another passenger to a Mission Hospital for further treatment of unspecified injuries.

At this time, further events leading up to the deadly incident remain unclear. However, an ongoing investigation is still underway.
