2 Injured in Fatal Traffic Crash near Central Avenue

MONTCLAIR, CA (June 27, 2022) – On Sunday, a solo-car accident on 10 Freeway left one dead and several people injured, police said.

According to Montclair Authorities, the collision occurred at 12:30 a.m., on the 10 Freeway near Central Avenue.

Furthermore, the investigation revealed that a Honda traveling at an unknown speed veered off the road.

Consequently, it crashed into a concrete barrier east of Monte Vista Avenue, according to reports.

The crash ejected three occupants of the vehicle, one of whom died at the scene.

Authorities withheld the deceased victim’s identity until his or her next of kin are notified.

Meanwhile, the driver, a 24-year-old man, and the other occupant sustained injuries and were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.

Police did not release any additional information at this time. However, the cause of the accident and the factors involved remain under investigation.
