One Pronounced Dead after Speeding Motorcycle Collision near Marquette Avenue

ALBUQUERQUE, NM (July 9, 2024) – One motorcyclist died Tuesday evening, in a motorcycle crash on Monte Vista Boulevard and Marquette Avenue.

The incident occurred at approximately 8:45 p.m., on June 18th.

After completing preliminary duties, officers reported that a motorcyclist was traveling west on Marquette Avenue at a high speed. The motorcyclist approached the intersection but failed to stop at the red light, colliding with the rear of a black Toyota Corolla.

The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle onto the curb. Medics later pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene.

Authorities have not yet released the individual’s identity. Currently, no further information has been disclosed, and the crash remains under investigation.
