Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Collision near State Route 1

LONG BEACH, CA (October 11, 2022) – Early Wednesday morning, one victim was pronounced dead after a pedestrian crash on State Route 103.

The incident happened on the westbound lanes of the Pacific Coast Highway on-ramp around 12:09 a.m., on October 5th.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a pedestrian in the area. The impact of the collision left the pedestrian with serious injuries.

Upon arrival, medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene. At this time, the victim’s identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

Meanwhile, officials closed down parts of the road surrounding the collision for cleanup and preliminary duties.
