76-Year-Old Woman Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident near Witherspoon

IRVINE, CA (November 9, 2022) – Early Friday night, one woman was killed in a pedestrian crash on East Yale Loop.

Police responded to the scene around 6:15 p.m., near Witherspoon on November 4th.

According to reports, the driver of a Chevrolet Silverado was heading south on East Yale Loop and struck a woman who was attempting to cross at the intersection.

The impact of the collision left the female pedestrian with life-threatening injuries. Responding medical crews arrived shortly after and pronounced the 76-year-old pedestrian dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Silverado remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Following preliminary duties, police do not consider drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the crash.
