Traffic Accident on West Lathrop Road Left One Fatality

MANTECA, CA (April 11, 2022) Early Sunday evening, one person died following a pedestrian crash on Airport Road, police said.

Manteca police officers responded to the area around 7:55 p.m., just north of West Lathrop Road.

Upon arrival, crews located a male victim with extensive injuries from the crash.

Eventually, emergency medical personnel declared the severely injured victim dead. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

Moreover, police said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene of the crash and is cooperating with police investigators.

Following preliminary investigations, neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor in the crash. Meanwhile, the victim’s identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.

No further details regarding the crash are public at this time; however, more information will be provided once made available.
