Man Fatally Struck by SUV near Baseline Road

PHOENIX, AZ (September 20, 2022) – Friday morning, one person was killed following a pedestrian crash near 7th Avenue and Baseline.

According to police, the crash happened on September 16th when a man walking outside a crosswalk was struck by a vehicle.

Furthermore, when officers arrived, they found the man severely injured and transported him to the hospital where he later died.

The identity of the man was not yet released by the officials. Also, the driver remained at the scene and does not appear to be impaired.

Meanwhile, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.

Phoenix authorities have not released any further information about the fatal pedestrian crash on 7th Avenue. Moreover, an active investigation is currently underway.
