One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Hatch Road

MODESTO, CA (September 1, 2023) – Monday evening, one victim was killed in a pedestrian collision on Crows Landing Road.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m., near Hatch Road.

Per reports, two vehicles collided in the area. However, the events leading up to the incident still remain unclear.

Upon impact, one of the vehicles was pushed into the sidewalk where it struck a pedestrian. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.

Emergency crews closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, police have not yet released the identity of the deceased victim. Once available, further details will be provided.
