Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 680 Ends with One Dead

SAN JOSE, CA (October 11, 2021) An unidentified person died tragically in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 680 on Wednesday.

The tragic accident happened around 6:00 a.m. October 6 on northbound Interstate 680, just south of E Capitol Expy.

CHP said the person was hit by a vehicle on the highway under unclear circumstances. Authorities, at this time, did not reveal the identity of the victim.

Furthermore, San Jose officials closed off the highway for at least an hour for cleanup and investigation.

Meanwhile, authorities did not reveal any information about the driver at fault.

Once available, more information about the deadly accident will be released.
