Man Pronounced Dead Following Pedestrian Accident on Highway 20, near Hutchins Road

LAKE COUNTY, CA (January 26, 2022) – One unidentified man lost his life in pedestrian accident at Highway 20 on Saturday.

The crash happened around 10:23 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of Highway 20 on January 15th, near Hutchins Road.

According to reports, the pedestrian, for still unknown reasons, was jumping in and out of the traffic when a vehicle struck him. Responding officers found the man lying on the roadway.

Tragically, the pedestrian later died from his injuries.

Moreover, no additional information has been released to the public about the collision at this moment.

Authorities are withholding the identify of the victim for the time being, pending notification of kin.

At this time, authorities are unsure as to what caused the impact, however, an active investigation is underway.
