Pedestrian Accident on Desert Inn Road Results in Fatality

LAS VEGAS, NV (September 8, 2021) A pedestrian tragically died Saturday night following a vehicle and pedestrian accident on Desert Inn Road.

The crash happened just before 8:42 p.m. on on Desert Inn Road near Pecos McLeod Interconnect.

According to witnesses, a 2007 Chrysler Aspen, for reasons unknown, struck a male pedestrian crossing the Desert Inn Road outside of a marked or implied crosswalk.

The front of the Chrysler struck the right side of the pedestrian, projecting him forward and onto the roadway.

Paramedics rushed the victim to a hospital but due to the extent of his injuries, the pedestrian died at the hospital.

Meanwhile, the Chrysler driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the officers.

At this time, police did not consider drugs and alcohol to be factors in the crash. However, an active investigation is ongoing.
