Male Driver Fatally Injured in 3-Vehicle Collision near Pleasant Valley Road
OAKDALE, CA (November 17, 2022) – Late Friday afternoon, a man was killed in a 3-vehicle crash on Valley Home Road.
Police responded to the scene just after 5:00 p.m., near Pleasant Valley Road.
According to reports, a 2013 Honda turned in front of a 2001 Ford that was traveling at about 55 mph.
Investigators said the Ford attempted to slow down but failed due to a 2007 Honda going on the other side of the road.
As a result, the 2013 Honda spun clockwise, stopping over a cane bridge shoulder. Subsequently, the Ford driver ended up hitting the left side of the 2007 Honda before overturning.
Upon impact, the 2007 Honda driver sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Meanwhile, responding medical personnel transported his passenger to a hospital with major injuries.
The California Highway Patrol only described the deceased victim as a 47-year-old man from Stockton.
