Multi-Vehicle Collision near Avenue B Leaves 1 Fatality, 3 Others Injured

LANCASTER, CA (May 6, 2022) A deadly multi-vehicle crash along Sierra Highway left three other people injured Tuesday night.

According to the police, the crash happened around 8:03 pm, south of Avenue B.

Investigators said a 2017 Nissan Sentra going north on Sierra Highway made an unsafe turn on the southbound lane and proceeded to overtake an 2008 Honda Pilot.

Afterwards, the Sentra collided head-on with a southbound 2001 Toyota 4-Runner.

As a result, the Nissan Sentra lost control and rolled over onto the right shoulder.

Tragically, the Nissan driver, identified as a 29-year-old Inglewood man, succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

At the same time, 62-year-old Clifton Vial of Rosamond sustained moderate injuries.

Meanwhile, Honda Pilot occupants, 28-year-old driver Vanessa Auilar and her 39-year-old female passenger sustained moderate injuries.
