Multi-Vehicle Crash on 5 Freeway Left Several Casualties

LOS ANGELES, CA (December 30, 2021) – A multi-vehicle crash on 5 Freeway left one person killed and several injured Friday morning.

The collision happened around 8 a.m. at Stadium Way near the 110 Freeway. Paramedics immediately responded on the scene.

According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the collision involved 2 big rigs and at least seven vehicles.

In addition, authorities confirmed that at least 6 people sustained injuries, three of which were hospitalized.

Firefighters also physically pulled at least one person trapped in the wreckage.

At this time, the cause of the multi-vehicle crash remains unclear.

Los Angeles Officials closed three left lanes of 5 Freeway to conduct an investigation.
