Deadly Collision near Highway 74 Results in Fatality

PERRIS, CA (September 23, 2021) – Early Monday morning, one person was killed in a deadly multi-vehicle crash on 215 Freeway.

The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m., on the northbound lanes of 215 Freeway. Officers responded to the scene near Highway 74 shortly after.

Upon arrival, the CHP found at least four vehicles in the wreckage. However, the circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear.

Afterwards, paramedics transported a critically injured patient to Riverside University Medical Center in Moreno. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, the victim died at the hospital.

Another occupant was taken to a county hospital with non life-threatening wounds.

In addition, CHP closed down north and southbound lanes on 215 Freeway until 5:45 a.m., while they conducted a preliminary investigation.
