One Dead after Fiery Auto Accident near Columbia Avenue

RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA (May 25, 2022) Thursday morning, an unidentified individual died in a multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 215.

The four-vehicle crash happened around 5:00 a.m., near Columbia Avenue. However, the events leading up to the incident remain unclear.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a sweeper truck and a Dodge Stratus were among the vehicles involved. Witnesses also reported that a number of the crashed vehicles became engulfed in flames as a result of the collision.

Responding officers discovered one victim dead at the scene. However, the victim’s identity has not been released at this time.

Moreover, the crash caused officials to issue a SigAlert and close the area for several hours during cleanup and preliminary duties.
