33-Year-Old Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Motorcycle Collision near Interstate 8

EL CAJON, CA (December 7, 2022) – Friday night, a motorcycle crash on State Route 67 near Interstate 8 left a rider dead.

Police responded to the scene around 8:00 p.m., on December 2nd.

Officers say a 33-year-old motorcyclist was traveling south on State Route 67, towards eastbound Interstate 8.

According to reports, the motorcyclist was traveling at high speeds when he drifted into a concrete wall, ejecting him onto the highway. While he was on the road, the driver of a passing vehicle struck him.

Upon impact, the driver then fled the scene without rendering aid to the injured rider.

Paramedics and emergency responders arrived and performed life-saving measures. However, medics later pronounced the severely injured victim dead at the scene.

Police also searched for the involved vehicle, but were unsuccessful. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
