33-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in Fatal Accident near Sunset Cliffs

SAN DIEGO, CA (September 13, 2022) – Friday night, police responded to a motorcycle crash in the Ocean Beach area that left one person dead.

The crash happened on September 9th around 5:42 p.m., at the intersection of Sunset Cliffs and Nimitz Boulevard.

According to police, a motorcyclist ran through a red light and crashed into a vehicle. Upon impact, the motorcyclist was ejected from their bike onto the road, causing life-threatening injuries.

Medics arrived and pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Although, the motorcyclist was only described as a 33-year-old man.

Meanwhile, a large portion of the roadway was temporarily shutdown to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties before it was later reopened.
